Myself, and My Pup

Who Am I and What Am I Doing on Here?
Howdy! My name is Collin and I’m a queer 21 year old attending Texas State University. I transferred here from a semester off after completing my freshman year at the University of North Texas and could not be happier to be back in school and working on getting that degree.
I am super passionate about furthering my education but besides that I also have a ton of other interests. I love hiking, specifically hiking with my adorable pup, Archie. Running is always super satisfying when its not less than 40 degrees outside because that is the absolute most painful thing I could put my lungs through. Madly in love with drag queens, kings, and all the non-binary drag performers as well. I will for sure be making some posts about the art of drag. I even have a few friends that perform in San Marcos! Shoutout to Tequila Rose and Mars Kennedy, both of whom you can follow on insta @itstequilatime and @marsduh
Obviously as a gay man I can connect with the LGBTQ+ community, but a lot of other people can’t. Some people haven’t had the opportunity to befriend a gay person or don’t have anyone queer or out in their family. Knowing someone queer is so beneficial to ones empathy and personal understanding of LGBTQ+ community. This thought was validated for me after meeting a few new people on campus (straight of course) and being shocked by a few comments they made and the lack of information they knew about queer culture. BUT that gave me the idea to create this blog to inform and educate a little bit.
I want to share enlightening views on multiple topics from anyone who’s interested in hearing from a queer perspective and use my voice to make some sort of impact.
